ABOUT

Pfeil & Bogen Academy is the brainchild of Mr. Prashanth Barathan, Former Engineer at Robert Bosch GmbH, Abstatt, Germany and Assistant Professor for Vehicle Dynamics and German language at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai.

The vision of the academy is to impart quality training in the German language to students preparing for a future in a German speaking country. With the emphasis of the courses being on communication, students are best placed to communicate orally and in writing in the language in professional as well as informal social settings.

Since opening our doors, we have trained students, graduates and professionals in the levels A1 to C1 in the German language. Our students are predominantly from engineering, IT, Finance and medical (doctors and nurses) backgrounds. We also conduct exam preparation courses for IGCSE school syllabus, and for German certification tests (A1 to C1)

We have also given on site trainings to employees of firms like HCL and Hitachi with group sizes of around 20 participants each, in the levels A1 and A2. With a young and dynamic team, we are currently expanding our presence in major cities, with collaborations with German recruitment institutes and we are currently official partners with DeutschPro India, facilitators of TELC Exams in Chennai.

Our alumni currently study/work in top universities and firms in Germany, and we are best placed through this strong alumni network to leverage the advantage to our prospective students.

FOUNDER'S PROFILE

Mr. Prashanth Barathan

Mr. Prashanth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile Engineering from MIT, Anna University, Chennai and a Masters in Vehicle Dynamics from the Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, Germany. He has been actively involved in developing simulation models for lateral and longitudinal vehicle control systems during his time at Robert Bosch GmbH, Abstatt, Germany. He has also completed his Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom (GDS)-C2 at the Goethe Institut, München.

He possesses over 10 years of experience in training students, professionals and employees of various corporate firms in the German language. Since 2019 he has served as an Assistant Professor for Vehicle Dynamics and German language at Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai, where he was also the Head of the Formula Student Racing team.
